It's strange how we often feel so lost in a world full of direction. You grow up knowing exactly what you want to do, but as soon as you are doing it, you feel that it's not for you. And the question, "What do you want to do?" always pop up along the way. We sometimes think that we are so lost that we will never be able to find our way.
This is not always the case. We often know exactly where we should be heading but we try to please others around us and conform to norms that we don't feel strongly about. Just to ensure that we do not stand out, because if you stand out it's easier to be victimized. So in actual fact we are not lost, we are confused about who and what we want to be. Are we going to let society dictate where we must go, are we going to allow money to show us the way or are we going to step up onto the platform and let the world know what you know where you are heading and you will follow your dream?
Being lost, is knowing your destination but not the route you are taking to get there. The answer to getting your route is easy; explore all your possible avenues and choose the one that looks the most promising. If that route does not seem right, explore the next best one. It might not always be a smooth ride and you might end up in dodgy alleys or dead ends but if you persevere you will get to your destination eventually.
Friends and family is there to help you. Even if they cannot help, just talking to someone already helps you lift some of the weight from your shoulders. Don’t dwell in your self-pity otherwise you will eventually really get lost…
Keep up the smiles!
From a place I know too well in my mind....Rudolf
